"We are hurt in relationship and we heal in relationship." -Diane Poole Heller

Evidence-Based Practices

I utilize a range of trauma-informed and evidence-based approaches, rooted in my training in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), which is based on the premise to help undo aloneness and access our innate capacity for healing within a trusted and secure relationship. AEDP is rooted in attachment theory, affective neuroscience, body-focused approaches and transformative studies. I am also trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS), which believes every person makes up a multiplicity of valuable parts (for example: the avoidant, the over-thinker, the empath, the perfectionist). These parts get stuck in extreme roles and can implicitly carry legacy burdens from our ancestors. In therapy, we disentangle our well-intentioned parts to seek harmony and integration. I humbly view my clients from a non-pathologizing lens that welcomes every part of you on your voyage to healing, deeper connection and acceptance.
